Children and Future Complex | Koohsangi – Mashhad | 1998
This complex was developed using the existing foundation of a high-rise office tower that had been partially built beside a mountain but later halted. With redesigned calculations, the structure was repurposed into a cultural and recreational facility. It includes a cinema, theater, library, bookstore, media, software shop, restaurant and a collection of SUPER computers and interactive games in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The facility, with a total area of 4,500 square meters, is built beneath a park, utilizing the original administrative framework. At each of the multiple entrances, features such as water, waterfalls, streams and green space are used to create memorable markers for children and avoid confusion. At one entrance, a sculpture of Arash the Archer, the legendary Iranian hero, stands opposite his bow and arrow, formed from the spray of a water fountain.
