A section of the southeastern lands of Isfahan, covering approximately 3,000 hectares, is connected to foothill areas on one side and overlooks agricultural lands south of the Zayandeh River on the other. In recent decades, these lands have become polluted due to the accumulation of massive amounts of waste and debris, and polluting facilities such as an asphalt plant, compost factory, cemetery site, and nuclear energy facilities have been established within and around the area. This strategic plan examines the removal of pollution, the rehabilitation of these lands, and their transformation into valuable and supportive areas for the sustainable development of Isfahan, providing strategies to address issues and improve environmental quality. * In Section 8 (The Sustainable Development Approach), additional data from this plan are presented. ** In the Publications section, a summary report of this project is presented.
